If this describes your life, read on.

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition where your nerves are severely damaged. They have lost their ability to work like they should. Did you know, that odd feeling in your feet that you feel when standing in front of the classroom is actually your nerves screaming for help. Did you realize that the numbness, tingling, achiness in your feet is not normal and will get worse if something doesn't change soon.

It is hard enough to be a teacher, but to teach kids and have neuropathy is a daunting task. As your neuropathy progresses, you will start to dread every day of your life. Having to walk or do anything physical loses it's joy. So what do you do as a teacher for neuropathy? Do you cover it up with medications and just wait for it to get worse? Do you try to ignore it as long as you can, hoping and praying for a less intense day?

How does it work

Step 1: Understanding Neuropathy

Neuropathy is a condition that simply means damage to your nerves. These nerves control 2 vital functions. One is motor which is movement. How well you walk, your balance, to your stamina is controlled by a motor nerve. The other function is feeling. How well you feel hot, cold, sharpness, dullness, vibration, etc is determined by a sensory nerve. When a nerve is damaged it now sends erroneous signals to the brain. Those signals now register as numbness, tingling, burning, pain, muscle weakness, and balance issues just to name a few.

Step 2: Restoring Flow

The next step is now to establish flow. When you have a damaged nerve think of it as like a damaged cable. The cable has been frayed to the point where all the wires are exposed to the environment. This is what happens with your nerves. The nerves are now damaged to the point that when inflammation levels increase in your body it causes further destruction of the nerve. The ultimate question is what does it take for nerve to repair. It is a very complicated process. It requires certain protein production, cellular energy transferred to the nerve cells, increase oxygenation, increase blood flow, anti-inflammatory state, and many more for it to start repairing. Our process achieves all of the following over a period of time using specialized machines.

Step 3: Gaining back Function

The last step in our process is now the best part. When the nerve starts working again, the symptoms start going away. The numbness that was keeping you up at night goes away. The burning pain that stopped you from walking is barely there. The balance issues that stopped you from going to church is a distant memory! You start to regain your life back again. This is what we want for all neuropathy sufferers.

What happens to neuropathy that is untreated

It is Simply the END of being Independent

As we age, we know that our bodies are more likely to breakdown even further. So what happens when that nerve is already damaged and you factor in the aging process? It means you get WORSE EVEN FASTER. Ask anyone who has had neuropathy. They will tell you that the neuropathy started to spread like ants! In the end, if the nerve is not repaired you will become dependent on someone or something to just get by.
