Can Neuropathy Be Cured?

So, here's the million-dollar question of the day. Can neuropathy be cured? Because we've all heard from our doctors and even the drug companies. So, if you ask the companies that make Gabapentin, Lyrica, hey, can neuropathy be cured? They will tell you absolutely not because you have to be on those medications forever.

Even your doctors might've told you that same thing. So, the question is, can it be cured? Well, it's all relative, right? The first thing you have to look at is you have to look at what actually causes neuropathy. So, when you look at our diabetic patients, and we know diabetes can cause neuropathy and does more often than not.

Well, if we get your nerves under control and we now start reversing the symptoms and you don't have that numbness, tingling and burning or pain anymore, well, your neuropathy is actually way better it isn't? But if the diabetes is the main cause and you don't address the diabetes, then the answer is no, neuropathy can never be cured.

Now let's flip that. We have patients who have idiopathic neuropathy normally from an unknown cause right. For them, they might not go into our process and we'll now we are helping them reverse that damage to where they don't feel that numbness, tingling or burning, and they have their balance back.

And let's say now they're a hundred percent better. Well, in that case, I would assume since they're a hundred percent better than they are cured. But can we make those claims? We can't. Why? Because everybody's different. And there's so many different nuances that neuropathy is a very complex problem, and that's why so many people have it. And that's why it's also so hard for so many doctor's offices to treat it.

What we find is that neuropathy is not a one size fits all. And unfortunately, in today's healthcare industry, regarding neuropathy, people try to put you in a one size fits all category, and that is the wrong solution for that.

So, in our office, we take a very different approach. We actually look at all the different things that could be causing the neuropathy, and we start addressing it one by one by one. And that's really how we're able to achieve such high success. But the reality is it doesn't matter if neuropathy can be cured or not. What matters is that you're doing what you have to do to figure out what you can do to improve your quality of life and not be in the position you're in.

God Bless
